Position: Mid-Level Interior Designer (In-Person — San Diego, CA)

Who We’re Looking For:

• A designer with 5–8+ years of experience

• Strong in BOTH conceptual design + technical execution

• Confident producing DD/CD drawings independently

• Calm, steady, emotionally grounded — no drama, no ego

• A humble, warm communicator with excellent writing skills

• Extremely detail-oriented and accurate

• Organized, systems-minded, and self-managed

• Able to juggle multiple projects gracefully

• Someone who can partner closely with our Principal Designer

• Someone who sees design as a mission, not just a job

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and support DD/CD production across liturgical + residential projects

• Develop spatial concepts, finish palettes, design narratives, and presentations

• Produce high-quality drawings, details, ADA integration, and specifications

• Manage and develop FFE packages

• Co-lead client meetings with professionalism and diplomacy

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors

• Attend site visits, review submittals, respond to RFIs

• Maintain structured documentation and project clarity

• Improve templates, workflows, and standards as the studio grows

• Grow into mentoring junior designers (1–3 years)

Position Details:

Job Type: Full-time, In-Person
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Location: San Diego (primary) & occasional Newport Beach collaboration
Compensation: $85,000–$95,000/year to start, with growth up to $120K
Reporting To: Principal Designer

• Prepare project proposals, presentation decks, and organize documentation

• Maintain our digital and physical files, records, and systems

• Support internal communication, meetings, and occasional team events
